The Pre-heat during off-peak toggle is a Smart+ feature found in the Hot water settings section of the app. This feature, also known as "price-aware heating," ensures your hot water is ready when you want it, but heated in the most cost-efficient way.
When activated, Homely schedules three 30-minute heating periods during the cheapest off-peak times between the end of the last set point and the start of the next one, with a maximum window of 24 hours before the upcoming set point. This guarantees your hot water is ready when needed while minimising energy costs.
How to Activate Pre-heat during off-peak

Open the Homely app.

Navigate to the Hot Water tab.

Open the Hot Water settings page.

Toggle on ‘Pre-heat during off-peak’.
Please note: your heat pump cannot provide both internal heating and hot water simultaneously.
