Modbus Returning Values of 0 on Samsung

Diagnosis

You will be able to identify this issue through the installer app. You will see returning values of all 0's on the Modbus page. 

Solution

1. Go to the Samsung Controller Unit

2. Open the installer settings. To do this you will need to:

   1. Press and hold up and down arrows on the home screen

   2. Enter password 0202

3. Select the “Indoor Unit Option”

    

   

    

4. Select "Address"

    

   

    

5. Select "Main Address"

    

   

    

6. Under "New Address" enter 0 0

    

   

    

7. You will be prompted “Do you want to save your changes?”. You must select "OK"

    

   

8. Then you will be prompted “Do you want to change the address of another indoor unit?”. You will need to select "NO"
