Key Components for Installation

For a Grant Aerona³ installation with Homely, the most important components are:

V4044C Diverter Valve

Aerona³ Controller

DHW Cylinder Temperature Sensor

ASHP Terminals

Components that can left unconnected when using Homely

The following components should not be connected, as they are unnecessary:

🚫 HPIDTM4 DHW Timer

🚫 EP002 Heat Pump Interface

🚫 Hot Water Priority Relay (HPWPR1)

Additional Wiring Considerations

  • If zone valves, buffer valves, or secondary pumps are present, their contacts can be wired in as described in the Homely Installation Manual.

  • Since Homely sends heating/DHW commands directly to the Grant controller, no remote contacts need to be wired in.
