Before attending an installation, ensure the following points have been addressed:
Sign Up and Training
-
Complete the online training course.
-
Download the Homely Installer App and complete the registration process.
Heat Pump Model & Compatibility
-
Confirm that the make and model of the heat pump is compatible with Homely.
-
Check if any additional parts are required for integration:
-
All installs – Belden 9841 OR stranded CAT-5 cable is required.
-
Samsung – Requires an MIM-B19N board.
-
Daikin – Requires a DCOM-LT/MB board and a separate power supply.
-
WiFi Availability
-
Does the property have WiFi?
-
If not, full setup cannot be completed on-site, and the customer will need to connect Homely to WiFi later.
- Wi-Fi must have the option for 2.4 GHz
-
Heat Pump Installation & Operation
-
Has the heat pump been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions?
-
Can the heat pump operate independently of Homely?
-
We strongly recommend confirming the heat pump is fully functional before connecting Homely.
-
Ensure the heat pump can directly control any valves or pumps included in the system design.
-
Homely only controls the heat pump, so any additional valves or pumps must be controlled by the heat pump itself.
Homely Unit Placement
-
Have you identified where the Homely unit will be mounted on the wall?
-
Ensure there is a plug socket for a three-pin plug near the installation site.
-
System Compatibility
-
Homely is not compatible with hybrid or cascade systems.
Completing this checklist before installation will help ensure a smooth and efficient setup process.
